June 15, 2019
A parade of 65 tractors in Winnipeg on June 15, 2019 will mark the 65th anniversary of the Manitoba Threshermen’s Reunion & Stampede. The purpose is to make Winnipeggers aware of our event.
We will unload at The Forks at 10:00. The staging area will probably be the gravel parking lot across from Shaw Park. We will make our way to the Red River Exhibition grounds via Portage Avenue to the Perimeter Highway. All trailers can then proceed to the to exhibition grounds.
We must have a slow-moving sign on each unit and abide by the rules of the road to make this legal and safe. All units must be on rubber and stop at all red lights in a single file manner.
The coordinator from the exhibition grounds is welcoming us to join our display that will be there demonstrating steam and a thresher.
This is a chance for everyone to take part, advertise for the reunion, show off our tractors to the public, and answer questions. An application form is provided in this newsletter, and copies are also available from the office. They can be emailed back to the office with all info filled out so we can determine if we will continue with the event no later June 4, 2019.
