66th Manitoba Threshermen’s Reunion & Stampede cancellation

For 65 years the Manitoba Agricultural Museum has taken great pride in welcoming visitors to the annual Manitoba Threshermen’s Reunion & Stampede, Canada’s largest pioneer festival and a Manitoba STAR Celebration. The health and safety of the more than 11,000 visitors, volunteers and supporters that come to our grounds to experience this unique heritage festival every summer is our paramount concern.

As such, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of the 66th Manitoba Threshermen’s Reunion and Stampede, which was scheduled for July 23-26, 2020. After reviewing the rules for large public gatherings in the provincial government’s revised Public Health Orders it is clear our festival cannot proceed in 2020 nor provide the quality of experience that our visitors expect.

We thank everyone for their support and kind words as we have worked through this difficult decision.

Although we are not able to gather this year, we look forward to the return of the Manitoba Threshermen’s Reunion and Stampede July 29 – August 1, 2021.

For the Manitoba Agricultural Museum this event is not just a festival. It is part of our history and our main annual fundraiser to support our efforts to bring Prairie heritage to life. If you would like to support the museum in lieu of attending the 2020 festival, consider making a financial donation to the museum or attending our museum programs when we can gather again!

Stay Well and we look forward to seeing everyone in 2021!
